MEET THE MAKER

Well you made it this far! I guess it’s time to get to know the lady behind all the madness!!

That’s me, Catie Kershner, gal of many hats. Jack of lots of trades, master of very few. Continually learning and improving in any and all areas of life.

I started this journey of scratching on some silver in December of 2009. My family is big on having 25 ways to make an income should you ever find yourself without permanent employment, or just needing a little spendin’ money. Thus started my “hobby” of silversmithing. Now here I am, closing in on almost 10 years of this “hobby” and it’s taken me places I never imagined I would go. God’s kinda funny that way huh? “Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1:6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
God has definitely blessed this business and taken it, and me personally, farther than my wildest imagination.

While I would love to work silver on a more full time basis, life and God have other plans. I feel fortunate to get to work a very fulfilling full time job with USDA and be able to have a side hustle that I am passionate about as well.

When I’m not in my shop cranking out orders and inventory, I can be found helping my parents out on their cattle ranch outside of Jordan Valley, OR, struggle snuggling some baby goats, or well working! I am passionate about agriculture and ranching and those roots resinate deep with me. I hope people can see my passion for the lifestyle through the work I do.

My parents are generational ranchers in the area, however, everything they have they built for themselves. I think it speaks a lot to their character as well the kids they raised. My sister and I grew up with parents who worked hard every day, and we worked along side them as just little kids. It’s the only lifestyle I know. You want something, you work hard until its yours. And then you continue to work hard to keep it and grow it into more.

I know you sought out my work because of my style and I feel so fortunate that my style of engraving and fabricating speaks to you. To all you ranch wives, cowboyin-ladies, double tough cowgirls, women in the industry-thank you! Thank you for your continued support and orders. I hope I can create a piece for you that represents your passion, fashion style, and lifestyle.

And of course I can’t forget Bruce head of ranch security & top shop dog and Glenda the goat guard dog.
